Baby carrot amigurumi – Free crochet pattern
How to make a tiny carrot amigurumi. A simple project, great for beginners.
Created for my baby girl’s carrot cake hat.
Tools and Materials
- Fingering weight yarn :
- Green : 30 cm (11.80″)
- Orange : 4 m (4.37 yards)
- 3.5mm (E) hook
- Polyester filling
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations
- st(s) : stitch(es)
- sc : single crochet
- dec : decrease
- pm : place marker
- [ ] : work instructions within brackets as many times as directed.
Pattern
Round 1 : With orange yarn, make a magic ring, work 6 sc in the ring, pm — (6 sts)
Round 2 : 2 sc in same st, sc in next 5 sts, pm — (7 sts)
Round 3 : 2 sc in same st, sc in next 6 sts, pm — (8 sts)
Round 4 : 2 sc in same st, sc in next 7 sts, pm — (9 sts)
Round 5 : 2 sc in same st, sc in next 8 sts, pm — (10 sts)
Round 6 : 2 sc in same st, sc in next 9 sts; pm — (11 sts)
Round 7 : 2 sc in same st, sc in next 10 sts, pm — (12 sts)
Round 8 : 2 sc in same st, sc in next 11 sts, pm — (13 sts)
Rounds 9-10 : sc in each st around, pm — (13 sts)
Round 11 : [ dec, sc in next st ] 4 times– (9 sts)
Fill with polyester stuffing and sew the hole shut.
The leaves :
Fold the green yarn in 8th.
