Tiny pencils amigurumi – Free crochet pattern
How to make a tiny amigurumi pencil.
A “back to school” themed tutorial created for the “DIY month” on DaWanda‘s French blog.
It’s a simple project, perfect for beginners who want to practice color changes.
Tools and Materials
- 100% acrylic baby weight yarn :
pink, black, beige, grey and a color of your choice - Some silver glitter yarn (I used Phildar sunset) (optional)
- A 3.5 mm / E-4 hook (or smaller if you have trouble crocheting tightly)
- A yarn needle
- Scissors
- Polyester stuffing (optional : the pencil is small, you can use yarn to stuff it)
Abbreviations
- st(s) : stitch(es)
- sl st: slip stitch
- ch : chain
- sc : single crochet
- dec : invisible decrease
- [ ] : work instructions within brackets as many times as directed.

Pattern
Round 1 : With pink yarn, make a magic ring, work 6 sc in the ring, join with a sl st in the first sc, — ( 6 sts)
Round 2 : Ch 1, [2 sc in next st, sc in next st] 3 times, sl st in the first sc, — (9 sts)
Rounds 3-4 : Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in the first sc, — (9 sts)
Rounds 5-7 : With grey and silver yarns held together, ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in the first sc, — (9 sts)
Fill with polyester stuffing (or yarn) as you go.
Rounds 8-17 : With main color, ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in the first sc, — (9 sts)
Round 18 : With beige yarn, ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in the first sc, — (9 sts)
Round 19 : Ch 1, [1 sc, 1 dec] 3 times, sl st in the first sc, — (6 sts)
Round 20 : Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in the first sc, — (6 sts)
Finish stuffing the pencil.
Round 21 : With black yarn, ch 1, dec 3 times — (3 sts)
Close and weave in the end.
